Training
Our Training.
In an environment where the pool of quality engineering skills is continually diminishing, we have invested substantially in training to build a world class workforce.
As an approved S/NVQ Assessment Centre (Cert. C2615AU), we are renowned for the quality of our apprenticeship training scheme. Through our commitment to training, the skills of each generation of engineers are passed on to the next - equipping them to meet the challenges of a new industrial environment. As well as technical training and growing co-ordination with educational establishments, reflected in SQMS and Education/Industry liaison awards, our commitment to training extends to all aspects of our operation such as computing; time management; purchasing; appraisal and customer care, leadership, lean.
We have well equipped training facilities, including lecture rooms with full AV facilities and a specific modern CNC machining area dedicated solely to training. As well as for our own use, our facilities have accommodated governing bodies such as SEMTA and the SQA, enabling them to have industry meetings in that environment. By working with these organisations, Castle has formed long lasting partnerships that continuously look for ways to take our training programmes forward.
By utilising Tooling University training software, Gemba lean training, supplier seminars, full CAD/CAM and Vericut training licences and professional management training, we aim to provide a rounded and comprehensive training regime not just to apprentices, but the entire workforce.
To understand our commitment to training, one only has to know that over 50% of the engineering work-force have been trained utilising our in-house apprenticeship scheme; including the top management.
