The Manufacturer Magazine is one of the most respected media publications in industry. The publication focuses on high value manufacturing, regularly featuring business leaders and politicians. The media group also hosts the annual Manufacturer of the Year Awards.

The coveted Manufacturer of the Year accolades cover all of industry UK wide and attracts the best of British manufacturing.

The Manufacturer of the Year Award was presented to Castle by Lord Digby Jones and judged by Joe Greenwell, chairman of Ford Britain, and Allan Cook, chairman of engineering group Atkins. The awards were lead-sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland for the fourth consecutive year.

Supply Chain 21st Century

 

With 19 founder companies including: Rolls Royce, Selex Galileo, Goodrich, Thales and many others collaborating with 500+ suppliers, the UK is staking its place as a leader for global aerospace and defence programmes with the SC21 initiative.

In May of 2010 Castle became the 1st Scottish based company to receive an SC21 award. The company received its award at the bi-annual International Farnborough Air Show. The award signifies 90% plus on time delivery and 95% plus quality for aerospace customers.

In this highly competitive international market, Castle recognises the SC21 change programme as being crucial to future viability of the UK aerospace and defence supply chains.

Scottish Engineering Presidents Award for Achievement

 

In 2010, Castle was presented with Scottish Engineering’s Presidents Award for Outstanding Achievement by Dr Peter Hughes.

The award is given to companies which have made significant contributions towards raising the standard of their operating sector and have been shown to be appropriate standard bearers for that sector.
