Engineering Origins
Castle can trace it's origins back in the 1950's to the manufacture of jigs, tools and fixtures. The skills and versatile capabilities which arise from this tool making background are retained within the company to this day, enhancing the company's abilities.
With the Toolroom supporting our production activities, new parts can have tooling designed and turned around quickly, reducing lead times. As well as supporting our own activities, Castle offers a tool design and manufacture capability, most often for laser and electronic assembly jigs and fixtures (providing jigs, fixtures, prototypes and special purpose machinery to customer's specifications). To enable our toolmakers, we invest in the most up to date equipment.
In 2009 Castle’s Toolroom facility was completely overhauled and relocated to the refurbished 257 building. The modern facility provided more space for expansion, and optimisation of the sections layout. The investment carries 60 years of experience and know-how into the 21st century, and provides a modern facility to offer the skilled foundation of our apprenticeship scheme.
